www.fishmusic.scot<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\nBelieve it or not \u2013 thirty years after his start as an solo artist, Derek William Dick aka FISH is going to retire with his twelfth album \u201cWeltschmerz\u201c and the accompanying tour in 2021. In 2018, the Scotsman watered the mouth of his fans with the EP \u201cA Parley Of Angels\u201c containing three of the keytracks from his \u201cSwan Song Record\u201c. But be aware \u2013 if you are waiting a Progressive Rock masterpiece in the vein of his brilliant debut \u201cVigil In The Wilderness of Mirrors\u201c you can switch to another review. \u201cWeltschmerz\u201c contains ten tunes clocking at 85 minutes in total, mostly quiet and more Pop than Prog. \u201cMan With A Stick\u201c definitely marks a highlight. And so it also does the Scottish-tinged and catchy \u201cThis Party\u2018s Over\u201c. But the best cut is the athmospheric and almost 16 minutes long \u201cRose Of Damascus\u201c. On the second CD, \u201cC-Song (Trondheim\u2018s Waltz)\u201c comes along as an up-tempo track – compared zo the rest of the material. Saving the best for last, which is the title cut and one of the shortest songs of the album. A solid effort at the end – to be ordered exclusively from the artist!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
