Female-fronted AOR from Greece is a rare treat and EUPHORIA, consisting of Chrisanthi (v) and Tony Kash (g) make you listen right away. Both are born New Yorkers, though and seem to share a common taste in melodic rock music but with a noticeable contemporary touch. Tracks like the catchy \u201cEdge Of The World\u201c, the up-tempo \u201cSurvivors\u201c or the rather guitar-driven \u201cHeaven\u2019s A Breath Away\u201c are definitely above average while the ballad \u201cWhisper A Prayer\u201c, for instance, sounds too poppy and cliche all over the place. Nevertheless, there\u2019s plenty of room for a higher rating and that\u2019s mainly because of the album being quite short and having a relatively odd artwork which rather hints at contemporary country or the like than on the actual genre but \u201cEuphoria\u201c offers a solid production and Chrisanthi is free of accent, too. EUPHORIA is way too good to be put aside. Highlight to me is the highly melodic \u201cBitter & Wise\u201c. So I\u2019ll keep an eye on them. My feeling is that there\u2019s more to come from Greece in the future\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
