DarWin is a progressive rock project by a guitar player and songwriter of that monicker or even some kind of supergroup as the musicians involved are really top class in their own respect. You get players like Simon Philips (dr, TOTO, THE WHO, JEFF BECK), Matt Bissonette (v, RINGO STARR, DAVID LEE ROTH, ELTON JOHN), Greg Howe (g, MICHAEL JACKSON) or Billy Sheehan (b, MR.BIG, WINERY DOGS), Derek Sherinian (keys, ex DREAM THEATER, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION) and some others of that calibre. The follow-up to last year\u2019s debut \u201corigin Of Species\u201c is full of stellar musicianship, melodies and surprises. According to their website \u201eDarWin is a progressive rock infused exploration into the future of humanity and the challenging world around us\u201c and that pretty much sums it up. These five tracks, mostly long-tracks, though, take you on an interesting\u00a0 journey through time and space, on a trip from THE BEATLES to DREAM THEATER stylistically, at times a cross between TOTO and NEAL MORSE.
