Michael Palace is a really talented guy – his list of collaborations as song-writer for other artists such as ERIKA, HOUSTON, FIRST SIGNAL, FIND ME, REACH, to name just a few, has massively grown throughout the years and this list these days reads very impressive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Rock And Roll Radio” is the third full album release under the PALACE monicker and probably the finest one until today. Next to the vocals, Michael Palace himself also recorded all instruments which is a quite unusual set-up. And a good choice obviously since this album is a real cracker. PALACE offer very smooth, typically 80’s typed AOR with soaring vocals, great hooks and catchy melodies. Tracks such as “Castaway”, “Hot Steel”, “Way up There” and the title song are real highlights which would have ruled the airwaves 35+ years ago when this genre was commercially huge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Conclusion: this zine especially is made for bands (and projects) like PALACE to keep the spirit for this kind of music alive – and “Rock And Roll Radio” will for sure appear in many best of 2020 AOR lists from fans and magazines alike for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
