Third album by French AOR outfit PARIS. It pretty much connects with the debut \u201cOnly One Life\u201c (2013) and \u201cThe World Outside\u201c (2016). PARIS consists of the two old friends Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Dechavanne (v\/keys) und S\u00e9bastien Montet (g). It\u2019s heavily influenced by the eighties, the music the two of them love, but yet sounds fresh and all but old-fashioned in any way. There\u2019s plenty of mature songwriting like tracks like \u201cAshes To Ashes\u201c, \u201cSurrender\u201c, \u201cSuperhero\u201c or \u201cGame Changer\u201c easily prove and the two friends extend the borders of the genre as much as it is possible to not leave the mainframe of what is considered melodic rock. A song like \u201cValentine\u2019s Day\u201c, though, or \u201cCan\u2019t Get You Out Of My Mind\u201c, too, add a certain depth to it lyric-wise. Obviously, it\u2019s not always Sweden, well, but like on the first two PARIS albums the mighty Robert S\u00e4ll (g, WORK OF ART, W.E.T., GROUNDBREAKER) guests on one song (\u201cNo Bridge Too Far\u201c) playing a solo, providing the little Swedish spark of magic. Again, powerfully and pristinely produced by none other than Steve Newman (NEWMAN). Thumbs up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
