American vocalist ROBERT TEPPER who has basically been under the radar the last decade(s) is eternally connected with the hit \u201cNo Easy Way Out\u201c and a few other soundtrack contributions here and there but there is not much solo output. Nevertheless, \u201cBetter Than The Rest\u201c is easily his best album in more than twenty years, foremost as the guitars are heavier again. (Pop) Rock with slices of AOR and hard rock and a slightly anthem-like character. Alongside Spanish guitar player Pablo Padilla he delivers eleven rock tracks which mostly breathe the eighties DNA but with e.g. \u201cTestimony\u201c or \u201cBeyond The Atmosphere\u201c dips into more contemporary waters. ROBERT TEPPER is still able to create station rock as the mighty \u201cMy Yesterday\u201c easily proves. Also \u201cWhy Does Over\u201c or \u201cYou Know Just How You Feel\u201c alongside others perfectly capture the spirit of what music was like when the American started his career in the late seventies\/early eighties. Mature songwriting, a fitting production and great vocal performance can be found here. Perfectly suitable for fans of BRYAN ADAMS, JOHN FARNHAM or STAN BUSH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
