WAITING FOR MONDAY are a fairly new US-based Melodic Rock band fronted by Venezuela born singer Rudy Cardenas and guitarist August Zadra (who\u2019s also the guitarist\/ singer in STYX\u2019 Dennis De Young\u2019s solo band). Musically, WAITING FOR MONDAY are fishing in the same musical waters such as the genre\u2019s greats like JOURNEY, STYX and FOREIGNER \u2013 and they\u2019re actually coming quite close. The production could be a bit more powerful but the highlights on this good release are the vocal performance and the majority of classy, old-school AOR songs like the opener \u201cUntil The Dawn\u201d, \u201cFound On You\u201d, \u201cMake It Better\u201d. Especially Cardenas shines and in some parts manages to create some sort of early Steve Perry feeling (close to his performance on the 1978 \u201cInfinity\u201d album by JOURNEY). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, this is a really promising start by one of the few really new \u201cbands\u201d from this classic genre. Worth checking out if you like aforementioned bands and styles, and new bands with a vintage attitude!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
