Mark Spiro – 2 + 2 = 5: Best Of + Rarities

Long overdue compilation from the man, whose music is difficult to describe. Sometimes a singer/ songwriter, on the other hand a creator of poppy tunes – but best known in Europe for his MTM stint in the AOR department. Is a “Best Of“ neccessary only for the reason some of MARK SPIRO’s CD’s are quite rare? Even his record company seemed to have doubts, and so the parties decided to give the fans a third disc with 13 unreleased and brilliantly produced pearls from the vaults. Part of this are his collaborations with cracks like Dan Huff, Michael Thompson and Tim Pierce. And man, some of these tracks are equally as good or even better than his album contributions. Listen to the ultra catchy “Cry Me A River“ and you‘ll immediately know what I mean. Excellent stuff – can‘t await his new solo record!
