Three years after the first part of “Heavy Rock radio” JORN returns with the second part. The outstanding singer from Norway with his unique voice covers some of his favourite songs from acts like BRYAN ADAMS, BOB DYLAN, DON HENLEY, DIO, PAGES, FOREIGNER and many more. The highlights are the absolute magic version of the PETER GABRIEL song “The Rhythm Of The Heat”, the forgotten RUSS BALLARD classic “Winning”, the brilliant version of the 60ies Pop Song “Needles And Pins (originally by THE SEARCHERS) and the mid-80ies DEEP PURPLE tune “Bad Attitude”.

Vocal and instrumental wise the album is great as well as the production. The only question is, why a great singer and performer like JORN releases two cover albums in a row? Is it because he has a lack of own ideas, is it because part one was so successful? We will never know, but in the end it is an album of an overextended idea!

So for the performance and the selection of songs there are 8 points, for the originality there are 2 points. Makes good 5 points at the end
