25 years in the exhausting Rock N‘ Roll business is quite a challenge. But Swiss five-piece SHAKRA managed to ship through all the ups and downs and please their fans with another strong record. “Mad World“ is number 12 in their quite successful career and as usual takes no prisoners. Produced once again by the two six stringers Thom Blunier and Thomas Muster in their own PowerRide studio, the boys didn‘t change a thing musically. We once again receive a bunch of great tunes here. From the pumping “Too Much Is Not Enough“ to the enormously catchy title track or “Thousand Kings“ – it‘s no “fake news“ when I propose SHAKRA as hot contender for the vacant throne of KROKUS as the best rock band from Switzerland. To sum things up – “this band still rocks“!
